Amphitheatre
Sickla school, Sweden
An official commision from the Nacka Commune to convert part of a boring and unused Sickla school yard into a 100 m² Amphitheatre. Pupils actively contributed to the planning of the scenery. Some of their drawings and poems were sandblasted into the pillars. Flooring was made of Gotland limestone whereas seats were picked from the old Vätö Stenbrott quarry near Stockholm. I was assisted by Karin Jönsson on this project. |
